[Review] Super Unnatural- A Boutique Festival Masquerading with Big Festival Vibes

Super Unnatural was another incredible ride curated by Relentless Beats with Mochakk b2b The Martinez Brothers, Eric Prydz and Chris Lake. The night kicked off with some beach house vibes from Wakyin, followed by Mita Gami’s intoxicating minimal tech house. Dombresky took us on an 80’s flashback with his disco house followed by the most underrated set of the weekend: Hugel. Hugal managed to incorporate Latin tech house, piano house and Afro house all in a little over an hour – do not miss his next set when you’ve got the chance to see him. To cap the incredible night, Eric Prydz delivered a set hard to describe, but one thing is certain the whole crowd was infatuated and it was one of the best sets of the weekend. Finally Chris Lake proved why he’s at the top of the house pyramid with a memorable hour and a half long set.

Parking for this event was incredibly easy, with ample room both in GA and Premium parking. There were a massive amount of portable toilets about a thirty second walk away from the dancefloor. A big water station and a few food vendors made this event seem boutique, but with the large outreach that Relentless Beats always delivers. The dancefloor was huge, crowds were respectful of space and the sound was impeccable at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

Night two had some surprises that I wasn’t ready for; Lilly Palmer blended intoxicating melodies with techno in a way that she introduced the genre to a lot of house-heads in a very proficient way. Then came the best set of the weekend- Patrick Topping. His energy was above the roof unlike anything WestWorld has seen, with remarkable speed house and techno, the dancefloor was on fire. Fatboy Slim came up there and did what he pleased, not really catering to the average listener. This is not a bad thing however, as it introduced people to old school EDM. To cap things off, Mochakk and The Martinez Brothers delivered set to be remembered for all-time, with house music for the soul and the feet, having everybody dancing until the final beat was played.

Overall, Super Unnatural was another sublime event by Relentless Beats. Be sure to grab your tickets for Decadence Arizona to finish off the year in style
