[Review] SLANDER: A Haunted Halloween Night in Albuquerque

Slander returned after a 4 year hiatus to the Land of Enchantment for some scarily fun times on Halloween. The L.A. duo took Albuquerque’s Revel by storm delivering a multi-genre set full of incredible energy. Concert-goers were able to indulge in Dubstep, Drum & Bass, House and even Techno which goes to show the range and ability to remain engaging that Slander has. Their faithful fans absolutely packed out the venue, but kept the atmosphere respectful and friendly all throughout the night.

Tour manager Arman kicked things off and got the party started with some gentle but bouncy house. Up next was VJ and DJ Redline who delivered and kept the energy high with a set full of drum & bass. Hong Kong native and genre-bending Saka dropped one of the most unique sets Revel has ever encountered, blending drum & bass, mid-tempo and trap in a masterful manner. Finally on opener duties was Englishman Moody Good who tied it all together in a trap, UK and garage set that was truly one to behold.

Overall, this was one of the most unique shows Revel has ever experienced. Every artist brought its own unique flair to bass music and the headliner truly provided the Albuquerque crowd with an unforgettable evening full of spooky beats.
