[Review] Cyclops Desert: Subtronics Treats Rawhide to a Two-Day Extravaganza

Subtronics proved why he is the don of bass music in an electrifying two-day festival curated by Relentless Beats. For the first time- ever Subtronics headlined his own festival at Rawhide Event Center and it absolutely delivered. He brought with himself a lineup of up-and-coming and well-established artists that varied in sound and genre, but all had incredible energy. There was drum and bass, downtempo and dubstep and the atmosphere was quite enjoyable as the space was huge with multiple bars, food stands and even food trucks featuring donuts and coffee.

The lines were very reasonable at the gate, but when attendees got in they found ample room to meander. The deeper you chose to go into the crowd the more packed with good vibes it got. It only took a minute or two to go from front left all the way to the bathrooms which allowed festival-goers to bounce between breaks and dancing seamlessly.

Overall, this was a 10/10 event, with respectful crowds, state of the art music, easy access to food, restrooms and rideshare and a venue that we all EDM fans in the Southwest have missed dearly. Were hoping Relentless beats continues to deliver events at Rawhide and look forward to Gold Rush in the fall. Grab your tickets to Gold Rush while it’s on pre-sale, the line up never disappoints.
