Incoming message from Pegasus: We’ve altered orbit and are headed for PhxLights Festival in eight days. We’ve diverted course from the Rawhide Event Center and are headed to Phoenix Raceway. On board from space camp are GRiZ and Liquid Stranger as well as some newly recruited astronauts Rusko, Champagne Drip, Smoakland, and Proper.. We will be joined in Phoenix by RL Grime, Zomboy, Flosstradamus, Jantsen, Leotrix, and SAAS. We’ve beamed up the main stage from the rawhide event center and are preparing it with lasers, many beams and ample rocket fuel.
Prepare your eardrums for sonic bliss, alien languages, and the possibility of heavy laser-beam fire. As our space cadets are aware, the requested dress is flight suits, moonboots, and velcro secured tools. Before touchdown in Phoenix we suggest you familiarize yourselves with a few of the lesser known flight teams.
Smoakland is known for green inspired beats, bay area roots and bringing you up and back in time to the simpler nostalgic days of early Dubstep. They will be rolling up fatties with bass, and rhythmic melodies inspired by legends including Zeds Dead and Mersiv.

Proper is a duo that really calls for having a “proper” sound system. With dubstep coursing through their bloodstream the whole venue is bound to be bumping and pumping beats that can be felt from head to toe. You may have caught them at Gem and Jam, but if not prepare yourself to be immersed into sound system culture. There is no escaping it, you’ll feel it in your bones.
Leotrix is in the middle of his debut North American tour but is from down-under AKA Australia. After fighting a few kangaroos to secure a seat on this flight you’ll be sure to see how his one two dubstep and future riddim combo battled him into the lineup. His bass music, ear for melodies, and utter determination to succeed will certainly have him climbing the festival lineups stateside all the way to the top within the next few years.
SAAS has roots right here in Phoenix/Tempe combining the talents of three producers into one sonic journey. More Grimy than a Taco Bell bathroom, more experimental than freshman year of college, and darker than a solar eclipse they bring some extreme beats. The bass is heavy, brutal and an adventure into the worlds of dark dubstep, drum & rap, and hip hop. Inspired by G Jones, Champagne Drip, and Eprom this trips about to get weird, digital and fragmented.
Grab your tickets now before Pegasus has landed.
