Dreamglow Has Us Ready to Bounce Through The Last Weekend of Somos

By Maurizio Romero and Brandon Lopez

Relentless Beats and Viva have done it again and Somos is back in the city of Albuquerque with Dreamglow. This massive one day event is at the historic Balloon Museum, and if you know anything about Albuquerque, you know the Balloon Fiesta is one of the most special places in New Mexico. Big Gigantic will be headlining with TokiMonsta, Hannah Wants and Burn The Disco on support.

Big Gigantic, made up of drummer Jeremy Salken and saxophonist and producer Dominic Lalli, have taken the electronic scene by storm with their thunderous melodies and mind bending bass. Big Gigantic has no limits. Channeling sound from hip hop, dance, funk and more. This duo started experimenting with live instruments and dance music developing a reputation of amazing productions such as “Good Times Roll” co produced with Griz, and “All of Me” featuring Logic and ROZES.

TokiMonsta is one of the most talented producers around. Her unique sound is best described as drinking a mocha with your ears and is soulful yet bubbly while fluctuating between drippy downtempo and effervescent upbeat vibes filled with rich silky bass. She is one of the most collaborative artists around and you’ll find her tracks almost always feature a singer or two. Her album Lune Rogue was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Dance / Electronic Album category in 2019. Tokimonsta is an inspiration for overcoming difficulty and literally had to relearn to speak and understand music after being diagnosed with Moyamoya disease in 2015.

Hannah Wants is an artist out of the Brimingham, UK who is best known for her minimal house and techno beats. As is common in house she takes inspiration from all kinds of genres including jazz, trance, trap, and jungle beats. Her resume runs deep with residency at  BBC Radio 1 and Amnesia in Ibiza for three years, several performances at EDC and Coachella.

Burn The Disco is from Albuquerque and has a sound that in many ways reminds me of Moore Kismet with the way they control the progression of tempo like a yoyo. Their music is at times jazzy, liquid and tends to have big house vibes.

Grab your tickets and get ready for the city of Albuquerque to be spoiled with so many incredible sounds as the Dream Glow stage takes full form.
